peridot
overview
Peridot is a yellow-green mineral called olivine. It can be found in and around lava, deep in the crust of the Earth, and occasionally can even be found in meteorites. Due to how peridot is formed, it can be found in larger chunks than other gemstones. Many of these larger formations can be found in museums around the world, though there are still plenty of smaller gems used in a large variety of jewelry options at a price range for any budget. Peridot's vibrant yellow-green color makes it unmistakable when compared to emeralds.
